We are in search of an OMS Developer. A role has arisen within the Logistics Commodity Services Transformation (LCST) programme. This role is establish and lead a revised PMO with a £6.5bn programme with the Ministry of Defence.

The Logistics Commodities & Services Transformation (LCST) Programme for the UK Ministry of Defence is a critical effort to enhance and improve the UK’s defence supply chain. The programme provides essential services such as storage and distribution for the MOD's materiel, including a global freight service and the procurement and inventory management of 70,000 commodity NATO Stock Number (NSNs).
Working together as Team Leidos we are helping to transform the UK's defence supply chain by providing an integration of a complex mixture of services, at low risk, using a modern suite of systems that will deliver one version of the truth. For the first time, the MOD will see the whole picture, as it is happening.

We are in search of a Solution Architect who will analyse complex business problems to be solved with processes and applications across our customer and operating portfolio. You will manage and support work empowering our LCST Programme to establish, and deliver, their vision and value, by joining a capability which offers extensive business analytics experience, business strategic and operations planning capability, change acculturalisation expertise and business transformation knowledge.
Job Description:
Act as a developer, integrator, and analyst for complex and technically difficult assignments; collaborate with other developers working on production issues.
Participate in application walkthroughs and in peer code reviews for conformance to standards.
Create and maintain appropriate documentation.
Consistently apply Information Technology software standards and help to establish department specific standards.
A good understand of Build and Deployment best practice.
Skills/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in the following: OMS development and integration, Java Development
Demonstrated experience in implementing solutions within IBM Sterling OMS
Experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server
Demonstrated proficiency in Oracle 11g database query development, optimization, and tuning
Minimum of 3 years solid Java EE 6+ experience
Demonstrated proficiency in full disciplined SDLC lifecycle frameworks and methodologies
Experience of working in Agile/Scrum working environment
Must hold or be eligible to apply for SC clearance.
Practical and pragmatic approach – willing to get ‘hands on’ to deliver what is needed.
Exceptional communication skills, fluent in English
It would also be good for the candidate to have the following:
Exposure to IBM DataPower servers, clustering, and resource configuration
Proficiency in using test tools and automated unit test tool frameworks to support development
Proficiency to ETL Tools (preferably IBM DataStage, Oracle SQL Loader)
Experience of AWS would be beneficial
Exposure to WebSphere MQ,IB, and ESB servers, clustering, resource configuration
Exposure to Sterling suite – OMS/Control Centre.
Knowledge of Web Services (SOAP, RESTful API, etc.), CSV, JSON, JMS, SQL
Key Results Areas:
Adhere to Ministry of Defence Architecture Framework (MODAF) policy and guidelines as the Architecture Framework that captures and presents information in a rigorous, coherent and comprehensive way
Able to interpret business requirements and programming specifications that solve business needs
Ensure adherence to architecture standards, risk management and security policies
Collaborate with the management and development teams on determining technology vision of current and future initiatives
Ensure all projects are completed on time with proper documentation and within programme quality standards
Remain current on the latest technologies and make recommendations for technology platform improvements
