Job Description:

.NET Engineers and Developers work on a range of projects for different customers, with durations ranging from a few weeks to over a year. It’s a team-based, full software lifecycle role, including requirements capture, design, development, testing and deployment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Requirements capture and document requirements of development tasks through designing mock-ups and writing use case documents

  • Complete development tasks on time and at the acceptable standard of quality with less or no support from other team members

  • Provide assistance to other members of the team when required

  • Investigation and provide resolution of bugs and issues

  • Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) on other team members’ development tasks

  • For any assigned helpdesk tickets, investigate and provide responses in a timely manner

  • Participation in programme team meetings

  • If asked by Team Lead:

    • Perform code review on team members’ changes and provide feedback

    • Attend customer meeting or workshops

    • Resolve Penetration Tests issues

    • Perform releases using standard deployment tools and processes

  • If opportunity arises:

    • Deliver a significant functional area to any system from leading the workshop through to delivery to customers

    • Mentor junior developers/apprentices

    • Lead a sub-team on the delivery of a significant functional area

  • Strong focus on quality and a structured approach to software development, incorporating concepts such as:

  • Front end tools including Webpack and NPM;
