We are in search of a Junior Project Manager to join Leidos UK within the National Security and Defense Team, based in Farnborough.
We are in search of a Junior Project Manager to join Leidos UK within the National Security and Defense Team, based in Farnborough.
As a Junior Project Manager, you will work closely alongside the IABS Portfolio lead and the Programme Office/Change team and will be right at the centre of providing efficiencies in all aspects of the HOB programme administration. Small projects will be assigned which will require you to have the ability to prioritise work and resources across engagements based on short and long-term need
Responsibilities:
• Will work with the IABS Portfolio Lead to re-baseline the administrative element of running a portfolio and all that encompasses
When assigned a Project, the selected candidate will:
• the ability to articulate risks and manage expectations accordingly
• Responsible for managing deliverables on allocated projects
• Track and report on project status
• Conduct risk assessment of projects and collating work effort for any out-of-scope projects
• Balance internal stakeholder inputs against the scope
• Prioritise tasks for other teams based on project delivery
• Be the first point of contact for assessing project inputs or delays
• Collaborate with other teams and establish continuous improvement initiatives
• Financial management: tracking budgets and managing financial processes –working to cost
What we need from you:
• Proactive, Direct, Can-Do attitude and delivery focussed
• Experience with Microsoft Office products
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and autonomously as necessary
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Taking minutes / actions
• Customer engagement
• Strong presentation skills and communication abilities at all levels of both internal and client organisations
• Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills
• Project Manage simple Changes when required
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated flexibility and ability to handle changing business needs
• Certified Prince 2 Project Manager or similar qualification.
Clearance Required:
- Due to the nature of the project, this role will require having or obtaining an SC clearance
