Your Role and Responsibilities;
The Lead DevOps Engineer will be responsible for leveraging open-source and in-house tools to manage private and public infrastructure as code, designing reusable infrastructure components for scalable, highly-available, secure architectures for applications.
The Lead DevOps Engineer will provide input and expertise to senior engineers to maintain alignments with best practices and recommending system improvements while overseeing the automated deployment, roll-back, and monitoring of applications into software development, test, and production environment. This individual is expected to be a thought leader with respect to DevOps trends and will be in charge of the development pipeline for an entire program. This individual must have excellent communication skills in presenting to senior management, stakeholders and customers. This individual is expected to create an environment for innovation and technical mentoring.
Your Skills and Experience:
Significant experience with cloud technologies:
-AWS, Azure
Significant experience with infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration:
-Terraform, Ansible, Azure CLI, AzureRM
Experience administering and deploying development CI/CD tools:
-Git, Jira, Jenkins
Familiarity with container orchestration services:
-Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Experience with software engineering best practices:
-C#, Java, Go, Python
-Experience with infrastructure scripting:
-Bash, PowerShell, Python
-Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
-experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, network administration, and networking protocols/functions (e.g., HTTP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, SMTP, DNS)
-Problem-solving attitude, Perform root cause analysis for production errors and Investigate and resolve technical issues
Favorable If You Have;
- Experience with database querying language and database platforms:
SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres
-Experience with Web Services, APIs and Data Distribution Protocols
