WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
As a result of some exciting programme wins, we currently have a permanent vacancy for a Project Scheduler to work alongside the Senior Programme Manager for our Government client. Supporting a multi-functional team and to manage the scheduling of project delivery, change and new business. This position is a full time, permanent role and applicants must have SC clearance or be willing to undergo the clearance process.
The role will be embedded in the PMO supporting the transition, development & in-service running (inc capability upgrades) of an IT application and Network solution providing support to a critical operational end user.
Ensure that robust Programme Plans are created, maintained and applied in accordance with industry best practice.
Your passions and experience will help you become a technical specialist and process owner with our Operations Support services including service improvement and add further value to our service offerings. You will be expected to contribute towards the creation and ongoing maintenance of PMO documentation and overall Integrated Master Schedule and provide material to support the Project work or the Operational Support service.
You will be self-motivated and be able to work autonomously to achieve day to day objectives with significant results on project or operational deliverables. Whilst also owning a variety of activities ensuring compliance with project milestones and customer KPI’s and SLA’s. You must be an effective communicator, comfortable directly engaging with customers and colleagues. You must also demonstrate an analytical and systematic approach to technical challenges.
Your Role and Responsibilities;
Experience of MS Project (eg. Gantt, Timeline, IMS, Reporting)
Experience of Agile development (e.g. SCRUM)
Knowledge of Earned Value Management principles.
Proven track record in successfully delivering scheduling or task work packages.
Able to demonstrate experience (minimum 3 years) in Project Scheduler role.
Good interpersonal skills and judgement for dealing with both internal and external stakeholders to develop strong working relations to support achieving objectives.
Ability to engage and work within a multi-functional programme team comprising both customer, supplier and internal staff with an awareness of engineering principles.

Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of business, finance and personnel management techniques and the commercial aspects of projects.
The ability to communicate, negotiate and influence effectively.
