Description
As the Supplier Performance Manager (SPM), you will be accountable for ensuring a Supplier Performance strategy is developed and operationally delivered. You will provide consistency in supplier management across the program in addition to working alongside the Quality Team and Global Supply chain team to enforce standards and accurate and compliant management of those contracts. You will improve the quality and reliability of services provided by third party suppliers and introduce customer service improvements as part of our customer excellence strategy, both of which will drive benefits to the cost base of the program.
Responsibilities:
Working alongside the operational contract owners to lead effective consultation and relationship management both internally and in commercial relationships with external suppliers.
Drive significant benefits to the cost base of the business.
Improve the quality and reliability of services provided by third party suppliers.
Identify and manage customer service improvements.
Act as key point of contact for escalation, creating plans to improve service or plan to move service working with the relevant business owner.
Enhancement of Supplier Performance strategy, providing training and mentoring of all stakeholders within the Saturn programme to ensure understanding and adherence to the standards agreed.
Management of all Strategic Supplier relationships relating to the Saturn programme.
Evaluating and driving forward Key relationship improvements across the KPI/SLA dashboard.
Maximising value and deriving the cost savings needed to achieve the Saturn and wider Leidos business targets.
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
Responsibilities for each third party / supplier:
Management of all end to end processes.
Conduct performance and contract reviews.
Manage spares/escalations.
Manage and report operational effectiveness.
Conduct Satisfaction survey.
Access to raise Purchase Orders tool.
Process for goods in/goods out.
Manage Contract support arrangements - including contact details, hours of service etc.
Required Skill:
Proven track record in developing and delivering Supplier Performance strategies.
Able to demonstrate experience (minimum 3 years) in Service Delivery Management.
Experience and ability to demonstrate management of Supplier relationships.
Desired Skills:
Good interpersonal skills and judgement for dealing with both internal and external stakeholders to develop strong working relations to support achieving objectives.
Ability to engage and work within a multi-functional programme team comprising both customer, supplier and internal staff with an awareness of Service Delivery principles.
Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of business, finance and personnel management techniques and the commercial aspects of Service Delivery management.
The ability to communicate, negotiate and influence effectively.
Enthusiastic self-starter with good verbal communication.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Clearance: Candidate must be a UK National and eligible to obtain SC clearance.
