Test Engineer
We are in search of a Test Engineer to join Leidos UK within the Air Traffic Management portfolio, based in Whiteley. This is a hybrid position.
In response to the success of the growing business, Leidos requires a Test Engineer to support this expansion by helping to create compelling solutions for our existing and future customers.

We are looking for an integration test engineer to join our team to help us deliver a large scale systems integration programme. As part of an integrated team the successful candidate will design, create and execute system integration tests.
This is an opportunity to work on an exciting programme delivering critical infrastructure key to the future of UK Air Traffic Management.
Though experience with Air Traffic Management is not required as on-the-job training will be provided, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate integration test experience, ideally within a large-scale virtualised cloud based infrastructure.
Job Description:
We are looking for an integration test engineer to join our team to help us deliver a large scale systems integration programme. As part of an integrated team the successful candidate will design, create and execute system integration tests. This is an opportunity to work on an exciting programme delivering critical infrastructure key to the future of UK Air Traffic Management. Though experience with Air Traffic Management is not required as on-the-job training will be provided, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate integration test experience, ideally within a large-scale virtualised cloud-based infrastructure.
Key responsibilities:
Define Test Conditions based on requirements and specification documents;
Design and create Test Cases and supporting data.
Execute Test Cases in accordance with project plans and record results and defects.
Identify and report progress, issues and risks.
Analyse data and test evidence from suppliers to identify testing gaps.
Essential Skills and Experience:
2+ years in a similar test role or ISTQB Foundation Certificate in software testing.
Understanding of the Testing Lifecycle and the purpose of Integration Testing.
Able to estimate and plan own immediate tasks and manage their completion.
Competent in the preparation and execution of Test Cases and Scripts using standard testing techniques.
Experience of testing how multiple components or systems integrate.
Good oral and written communication skills, confident in technical discussions;
Enthusiastic, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn;
Desired Skills and Experience:
Working with large-scale and complex integration programmes;
Working with 3rd party suppliers;
Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture;
Experience with virtualised products/services/solutions;
DOORS, JIRA and HPQC (ALM) experience or equivalent tools;
ATM knowledge would be advantageous but is not a pre-requisite
Typical Minimum Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Clearance Requirements: Current UK SC Clearance, or the ability to gain UK SC Clearance.
