Description

Facilities Assistant / Administrator

Based from our site in Kempston, Bedfordshire

Are you a Facilities Assistant / Administrator seeking a role with a variety of responsibilities, working in a brand new, modern facility, where you can interact with lots of different people and help create a great working environment for the team?

As a Facilities Assistant / Administrator here at Leidos you will support our Facilities Manager in ensuring our sites in Bedford and Wickford (Essex) are properly maintained, clean and safe. The role will require you to combine management tasks including supervising contractors and ensuring that they comply with Health & Safety requirements.

You are great at multi-tasking. There will be a range of admin duties from issuing works orders, preparing reports, and gathering contractor documentation such as permits to work and risk assessments. These will all need to be communicated to the right people at the right time.

You’re a great communicator – you will deliver new starter facilities inductions, liaise with suppliers, and manage subcontractors when they come to site. You will also need to communicate any ongoing work to internal teams so they can plan around it.

Ideally you will have some experience in a facilities role, whilst this is not a hands-on role – being able to establish any issues will make it easier to know where to go to get problems fixed. You have good admin skills and comfortable dealing with people.

Why should you join our Facilities Team?

We are problem solvers – if something is broken, we find a way to fix it.

Growing Industry – technology is evolving, our customers are evolving. As a heavily regulated industry, new legislations and considerations mean we have to be adaptable in our approach.

Reward – we offer a competitive package with great benefits from a pension scheme (contribution matched up to 8%), private medical insurance and life assurance with loads of flexible benefits including dental insurance, gym flex and shopping discounts.

About You

Strong administration skills – used to gathering information, quotes and health and safety documents.

Good attention to detail and multitasker.

Good communicator – you will deal with internal teams, suppliers and be comfortable managing subcontractors who come to site.

Some experience in a Facilities Assistant/ Coordinator / Administrator type role.

It would be beneficial (but not essential) if you had a Health and Safety Qualification.

Ideally you will have a full, clean UK driving license.

Due to the nature of our business, you must be able to obtain and maintain BPSS security clearance.

Pay Range:

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
