CNC Mill Operator

Leidos is currently seeking a CNC Miller to operate machines on a night shift (10pm to 6.15am) 40 hours per week.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
To operate 3axis and 4axis CNC Milling machines to manufacture precision components.
Technical
● Adhere to Health and Safety regulations and law.
● Have knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001 and Q1.
● Understand the Quality Management System Quality Brief.
● Responsible for the production of Company products.
● Achieve production targets and deadlines.
● Work from engineering drawings.
● Check materials for type and quantity.
● Prepare cutting tools.
● De burr components.
● To clock in/out and fill in time cards correctly.
● Completion of job record sheets.
● Checking components for quality and quantity.
● Provide your own tools and ensure they are serviceable at all times.
Other Functions
● Housekeeping (clean, efficient and safe work place).
● Daily before use checks of machines and equipment.
● Maintenance of machines and fault reporting.
● Ensure your working area within the Workshop is kept clean and tidy.
About You
Experience of CNC Operations, ideally using FANUC / SIEMENS /HEIDENHAIN Controls
Knowledge of the machinery, tools, equipment, and materials common to the role
Suitably trained, preferably with an apprenticeship. With previous experience in all or some of the following areas
- Automation
- Automotive manufacturing
- Aerospace manufacturing
- Mechanical/material handling
- Pneumatics
- Inspection
Due to the nature of our business, you will need to be able to pass and maintain a BPSS security clearance.
