We are looking for innovative, passionate, and ambitious people to join our Technical Graduate Apprenticeship Programme. As a Graduate Apprentice, you will study towards a University Degree while working full-time at Leidos; we offer one day per week for university studies, meaning that by the end of your 4-year course, you will have gained a full BSc (Hons) qualification while also gaining four years’ worth of work experience.
The remainder of the working week is dedicated to developing your skills across a range of programmes and capabilities with exposure to world-class technology.
Our best-in-class early careers team will support you throughout the duration of the programme to ensure you meet your career development goals, with the aim to progress into a full-time permanent position, a truly outstanding opportunity. We have fantastic training and mentoring opportunities as well as a growing social network of other early careers persons and employee resource groups across the business to provide you with support and guidance.
What will I be doing?
Our programme is designed in a rotational structure to ensure you are developing skills and knowledge across our capabilities and functions as well as helping you understand what areas you enjoy most to help you build your career, some of the areas you may gain experience in (but not limited to) include:
System Engineering & Integration
Automation and DevOps Engineering
Cyber Security
Data Science & Engineering / AI
Cloud Infrastructure and Networking
Software Development
Testing

Graduate Apprenticeship Entry Requirements
Entry requirements vary by university and can be very flexible as we consider these in an individual basis, this is to ensure that we can be as inclusive as possible; this apprenticeship is suitable for both school leavers and those looking to switch their career or up-skill. Typically, universities look for 3-4 Highers with minimum B grades this is equivalent to four A-levels at Minimum B grade for those in England. We will take on other factors such as experience or other qualifications for example an HNC/HND.
Where will I be based?
We are recruiting Graduate Apprentices in the following locations:
Glasgow, Whiteley, Aberdeen – Remote/hybrid.
Our three main hubs for our programmes are Glasgow and Whiteley however we do consider those at other locations, we will cover travel to locations, when necessary, throughout the programme.
We offer a hybrid and dynamic working environment meaning that you can split your time between the office and at home, although we will encourage you to come into the office on occasions to enable you to develop and grow and collaborate with your teams.

What is next?
Our Start date for the programme is September 2024, we aim to contact you within 5/6 weeks of this posting to advise if you have been selected to attend one of our assessment centres, and these will be held between June-July. Our Early careers team will be in contact every step of the way and provide full details on what to expect. Although it’s an assessment we always find these days good fun, it also gives you a chance to meet other candidates and potential cohort and learn more about Leidos and the programme.
Following this assessment centre, you will be notified if you have been successful, and we will send out a formal offer. Travel expense cover will be provided to attend assessment centres for those who live more than 60 minutes from our locations.
