Service Desk Administrator

Role Overview:

We are in search of a Service Desk Administrator to join the team in Bristol.

IT departments face a number of problems each day. As a result, management must prioritise issues that present the greatest threat to the organisation's ability to conduct its business and serve customers.

 

Establishing levels of severity in relation to the overall business and identifying the severity level of each item early in the process ensure the most important problems are solved first. Linking the triage process to the employees who have the requisite skills to address specific issues also moves the process along.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and handles requests for service, following agreed procedures
  • Promptly allocate calls as appropriate
  • Log incidents and service requests and maintains relevant records
  • Identify and classify incident types and service interruptions
  • Record incidents cataloguing them by symptom and resolution
  • Act under guidance to record and track reliability data for your services
  • Assist in Problem solving tickets
  • Maintain and assist current Change process and requests

This role will involve you displaying strong customer service skills as you will be working in a fast paced service desk. Along with investigating incoming issues and problems via email you will also be receiving inbound calls regarding IT issues various individuals are experiencing.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to expand their customer service skills and IT skills, as well as gaining exposure to an IT Service Desk type environment.
