Description

Responsible for stores receiving, booking in equipment, issuing stock to manufacturing & general stores duties. Ability to follow instructions and undertake tasks with minimal supervision.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Technical

  • Use of computers and management systems (Costpoint experience would be beneficial but not required)
  • Working in alongside a production team and delivering parts to meet company demands
  • Cycle counting and stock reports
  • Receiving Goods, putting away stock and updating stock lists
  • Picking & Packing
  • Filling in documentation
  • Loading and unloading vans and lorries
  • Tight timelines to work to
  • Operate MHE equipment counterbalance forklift and Reach truck
  • On Occasion will be required to drive the company van for Urgent deliveries and collections.

Time Management

  • Effective time management. Potential to change hours to suit department requirements.

Communication

  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to understand tasks allocated and to work with the department team.

Team Working

  • Role involves working with the stores and logistics team.

Cross Functional Working

  • Continually build relationships with internal stakeholders to achieve the successful completion of tasks.
  • Adapt to roles within other departments to facilitate delivery of projects

Health & Safety

  • Always follow and promote Group and Company policies and procedures 
  • Ensure all Company equipment and personal PPE is correctly used and maintained.

Requirements

  • Good communication skills, Customer facing skills, ability to work on own, confidence to make decisions to overcome issues

Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar working environment
  • Experience of working with other trades / teams to ensure project deliveries.
  • Experience of using of using Warehouse Management Systems

Qualifications

  • Good level of general education
  • Ability to use computers and understanding of Microsoft packages
  • Clean Driving Licence
  • Fork truck licence – preferred (counterbalance and Reach Truck)
