To our valued Leidos candidates:

Coronavirus is on everyone's mind with the effects being felt around the world. The markets are volatile, and we're all concerned for the health and safety of our families, friends, and colleagues. Please know that we're taking all necessary measures to safeguard our employees, customers and the communities in which we live, including following all recommended best practices around social distancing.

With that in mind, in an abundance of caution, we are canceling all face to face career events, such as job fairs and open house events. In the coming days and weeks, we will be hosting career events virtually, using our online chat tools so that we may continue our hiring practice safely and securely. You can find available virtual career events at https://career-events.leidos.com.

We are using telephone meetings and online chats via Brazen to conduct interviews and hiring discussions, and we are offering options for video interviews so that you can have a virtual face to face meeting with your potential new leader. We do not conduct interviews or extend offers via text or chat based social media, such as WhatsApp or MySpace.

Leidos will never ask you to provide payment-related information at any part of the employment application process, nor will Leidos ever advance money as part of the hiring process. And Leidos will communicate with you only through emails that are generated by Leidos.com automated system. If you receive an email purporting to be from Leidos that asks for payment-related information or any other personal information, please report the email to Chris Scalia, Leidos’ Senior Vice President of Talent Acquisition, at [email protected].

As a company, as a country, as a world, we have confronted challenging moments before. We are confident that, guided by our values and the strength of our community as well as the commitment we have to the important work we do each day, we will find our way through this time together. We will do this with the care and concern for one another and the common good that defines. Please keep those impacted by the virus in your thoughts.

Role Overview:

You will play a critical part in crafting the future of our company, by attracting early careers talent (graduates, apprentices, interns), while also contributing to the overall talent acquisition efforts across our organisation. You will be accountable for developing and presenting early careers hiring strategies that address our long-term business needs and ensure our existing early careers cohorts are nurtured to become   our leaders of the future.

This is a role that requires an appetite for building a pipeline of high calibre talent, proactive customer service and collaboration with the wider HR and business management teams to ensure Leidos is keeping pace with changing industry trends.

You will ideally be based in the vicinity of our Farnborough or Whiteley site, with flexibility for home working, subject to business demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead our early careers programmes, including graduate, apprentice and intern hiring, from job posting to offer stage, and oversight of the programme framework and employee experience.

  • Partner with business leaders, line managers, universities, career services and external organisations to build a strong talent pipeline.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our business leaders.

  • Oversee the early careers programme, capturing feedback from employees and hiring managers to continuously improve the programme effectiveness.

  • Ensure the early careers cohorts are given ample opportunity to widen their skill sets and grow in the organisation.

  • Organise and participate in career fairs and assessment centres.

  • Track, analyse and report on key performance metrics and celebrating achievements and results.

  • Develop creative sourcing strategies to attract top early careers talent from a range of sources.

  • Contribute to broader talent acquisition initiatives and projects.

About You:

  • Previous experience in a talent acquisition / recruitment function, with practical knowledge of graduate, apprenticeship and internship hiring.

  • Strong partnering and relationship building capabilities at all levels of the business.

  • Demonstrated ability to create the highest standards with recruitment campaigns and strategies.

  • Understanding of core HR policies and the key principles of effective career development programmes.

  • Experience of building productive partnerships with universities and leveraging them to meet our long-term business needs.

  • Experience of looking after early careers cohorts and holding the business accountable for the growth and development of our early talent.

Original Posting Date:

While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.
