Description

To support our systems across EMEAI, including lanes / gates/ CT-machines, across infrastructure servers to ground level edge devices. Provision of 2nd and 3rd line support to track hardware, asset management and to configure remote accessed hardware.

Working with Development and Testing implementation departments on checkpoint systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Technical

  • Responsible for remote support and onsite maintenance of our checkpoint automation, PC and server hardware.
  • Maintain Windows and SQL Server environments.
  • Configure and install APC UPS’s.
  • Maintain Linux systems.

Time Management

  • Ability to organize time to prioritize workload and meet department objectives

Communication

  • Effectively liaising with all stakeholders.

Team Working

  • Working within the Service Department and with the Development and Testing implementation departments on current and future systems

Cross Functional Working

  • Continually build relationships with internal stakeholders to achieve the successful maintenance of checkpoint assets
  • Will need to work with the commissioning team to gain controls experience and understanding of the interfaced systems.

Health & Safety

  • Always follow and promote Group and Company policies and procedures.  
  • Ensure all Company equipment and personal PPE is properly used.

    • SQL Server
    • Linux
    • Windows Operating System
    • Network Infrastructure and cabling
  • High level of problem solving capability
  • Root cause analysis and technical report writing
  • Fluent written and spoken English

•     Knowledge of PLC Controls (Not Essential)

Experience

  • High level IT knowledge and proven experience of working successfully within a technical support role

  • Wide ranging technical background
  • Previous experience in all or some of the following areas:  
    •  Automation
    •  Control systems
  • Kubernetes configuration experience
  • Controls experience and understanding of the interfaced systems

Qualifications

Higher level qualifications or equivalent

IT, Controls qualifications to be taken into consideration

Other

  • Ability to support on-site across region and travel as required
  • Flexible approach to work office hours and provide out of office hours support, when required (dependant on rota)
  • 5 Year traceable work history for airside passes and CTS checks
  • Valid UK Passport
