Description

A role as a Maintenance technician in a multi-skilled maintenance team , responsible for planned and reactive maintenance of HBS, arrivals and central search CT Xray / ATRS systems at LLA covering  24 hours a day / 365 days a year, working a 5 week shift pattern of 12 hour days and nights.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Technical

  •  Fault finding skills on ATRS / CT Xray, automated PLC /SCADA controlled systems.

Time Management

  • Able to manage on shift time effectively

Communication

  • Good communication skills with customer
  • Record keeping, spares usage and shift reports via PPM management system.
  • Hand over any outstanding issues to on coming shift.

Team Working

  • Working as part of a team with 2 maintenance technicians per 12 hour shift

Cross Functional Working

  • Continually build relationships with internal stakeholders to achieve the successful completion of projects
  • Point fo contact for LLA baggage system manager if maintenance manager is unavailable.

Health & Safety

  • Always follow and promote Group and Company policies and procedures 
  • Ensure all Company equipment and personal PPE properly used

  • Multi skilled technician with Electronic, Electrical/Mechanical experience
  • Fault finding on control panels, network and field bus systems.
  • Fault finding on conveyor systems
  • Planned maintenance on Electrical /Mechanical systems
  • Ability to read electrical/ mechanical drawings
  • Good communication skills
  • PC literate with ability to structure and write reports

  • Fault find on PLC / SCADA systems.
  • Potential to cover on call support.
  • CT Xray
  • ATRS

Experience

  • Proven experience of reactive and planned maintenance
  • Checkable 5 year work history to obtain airside pass
  • DBS

  • Wide ranging technical background
  • Previous experience in all or some of the following areas: 
    • Automation
    • Mechanical/material handling
    • Conveyor systems
    • ATRS
    • CT Xray
    • Control systems
    • Electrical power systems

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3  / City and Guilds / HNC / HND, Electronic / Electrical / Mechanical or Equivalent
