Job Requisition:Programme Finance Analyst
Specific Job Description:
Reporting to the Finance Manager the Financial Analyst will be responsible for several programmes in the National Security portfolio.
As a finance business partner they will work closely with the programme team creating a real and active partnership with both operations and programme management.
The role will provide 'real time' support and analysis, being a trusted adviser and adding value that will assist in decision making.
The duties of this position include a wide variety of finance oriented tasks, primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop, track and update programme baselines
Ownership of monthly closing process
− Validate bookings, backlog, revenue & operating income
− Analyse contract actuals
− Accountable for programme billing, cash collection, analysis and action items of unbilled items
Provide accurate analysis and finance support to enable insightful decision making
Development and overall management of the programme forecasts and EAC
Provide programme financial deliverables (internal and external)
Coordinate and be responsible for cost review meetings
Pricing of on contract growth
Effective communication with all stakeholders
Use analysis and other programme knowledge, to predict, understand and constructively influence the financial outcomes of programmes
• Demonstrated ability to work proactively to complete work assignments
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Organised, thorough, with attention to detail
• Excellent practical knowledge of Excel
• Operate as an effective team member
• Working knowledge of financial & accounting systems
• Have sound understanding of accounting principles and policies
