The Civil Group of Leidos is seeking a UK-based Front End Developer who is a motivated self-starter who can work independently and as part of a dynamic fast paced team, to design and develop responsive web apps using Angular (4+).
This is an exciting opportunity where the primary focus of this role would be to design and develop effective user interfaces for our web and mobile applications where you’ll be responsible for creating innovative solutions to web design issues to help make the website more visually appealing and enhance usability. Working with an agile software team to deliver high quality responsive web apps in timely manner.
To be considered for this position, you’ll need to have a wide ranging technical background and previous experience in all or some of the following areas:
Electrical power systems
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Designing UI/UX prototypes from user requirements using Adobe Xd, PowerPoint or similar tools
Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
Developing a modern highly responsive, accessible, and backward compatible user interface for a defined set of browsers
Building reusable angular components and front-end libraries for future use
Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
Coordinating with various teams working on distinct layers
Writing unit tests in Angular using jasmine, karma or any similar tools
Desirable to have backend knowledge or experience ideally C#
Desirable to have knowledge or experience in hybrid or native mobile application development
Manage priorities within sprints and be able to seamlessly shift between multiple tasks
Work with multiple scrum teams and implementation team
Effective communication with stakeholders and other key personals in the business whenever needed
Work with multiple teams based in different locations and time zones.
Collaborate closely with software developers and product engineers to ensure security principles are applied consistently throughout

Continually build relationships with internal stakeholders to achieve the successful completion of projects

Skills & Attributes Requirements
Angular 4+ (preferably 9)
SignalR or any other Pub/Sub data exchange technology
TFS or any other source control
Front end development tools like NPM, Webpack etc.
Angular material UI
Responsive designs using Bootstrap
SQL Server or NoSQL database
C# or any other back end programming language
Authentication tokens JWT etc.
Proven experience of successfully designing creative yet easy to use GUI’s and front end applications
Previous experience in a similar working environment
Wide ranging technical background
Previous experience in all or some of the following areas:
Electrical power systems
Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent expertise in commercial development activities
