Job Description:

Specific Job Description:

This is a high profile, visible role requiring a professional, Facilities Manager to provide day to day operational focus of the whole facility, including liaising with Health & Safety requirements, Security and Office Management functions.

The key activities and responsibilities of the role are:

  • Liaison with Suppliers, ensuring value for money

  • Management of contractors to ensure they comply with operating procedures

  • Rent Issues, liaise with Landlord to ensure a good working relationship

  • Energy Management – ensuring that sustainability is at the forefront of supplier selection and continued monitoring and reporting in line with company guidelines

  • Responding to faults, reporting faults, recording faults for trends

  • Ongoing escalation issues. Work to time frames for issues to be resolved

  • Facilities Budget Control. Regular review of transaction listing versus budget and reporting variances

  • Health and Safety coordination including permit to work, risk assessment, and induction of employees

  • Fleet Management

  • Dotted line to Security Point of Contact

  • Management of all fire related issues, including the training of all fire wardens and first aid qualified personnel

  • Line Management responsibilities for facilities and reception staff

  • Asset Management of all non IT related equipment. Recording and updating asset lists

Office Management including: -

  • Space issues including office layouts

  • Management of all meeting rooms

  • New starter and leavers documentation

  • Escorting visiting contractors around site

  • Car parking issues

Additional / Occasional Duties and Tasks

  • Conduct ESH and Building induction for new starters

  • Management of all building visitor logs

  • Occasional weekend work as required
