Level: P2

Salary Range: £25,400 - £31,800 p/a, with potential to increase for truly exceptional performance at assessment.

We are in search of an International Trade Compliance Analyst to join our growing team. You will provide support in trade compliance, advising and assisting both internal and external stakeholders. This role reports into the UK Senior International Trade Compliance Manager.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

The role holder main duties and responsibilities shall include, but not limited to:

  • Support adherence with all applicable Leidos trade compliance procedures, processes and mandates
  • Conduct trade compliance screening, as applicable
  • Conduct, support and ensure that all Import Clearances are properly performed and appropriate records maintained. Can include dealing with both internal (e.g. Procurement, Programme Management and Finance) and External stakeholders (e.g. Suppliers, custom brokers and HMR&C)
  • Conduct monthly assurances of all Import records (against MSS reports), reporting monthly results to the UK Senior International Trade Compliance manager
  • Maintain and manage Trade Compliance tools, such as the Vector site and TC PRISM page
  • Develop, manage and provide input to TC Metrics/KPIs
  • Conduct reviews and approvals/refusals to UK Exports both intangible and tangible requests)
  • Conduct reviews and approvals/refusals to UK travel requests, both via ITRS and Vector, as applicable.  Where appropriate, issuing travel asset letters
  • Conduct reviews and approvals/refusals to business Vector site requests and other IT tools as directed
  • Perform and support TC training, communications and awareness campaigns, as directed by the UK Senior International Trade Compliance
  • Assist in business investigations, where required, ensuring TC matters are fully managed toward closure
  • Assist in business quality and audits (assurance) activities with both internal (e.g. CIRC) and external parties (e.g. ECJU and HMR&C)
  • Maintain TC risk register, providing a monthly report to the UK Senior International Trade Compliance Manager
  • Support the UK Senior International Trade Compliance, as directed, with activities, including bid work and specific Programme or Functional demands and needs
  • Observe, report and action, as appropriate, queries raised into Trade Compliance, via the common functional email address

Required Experience:

  • Ability to act independently and with integrity
  • Solid IT skills, which include MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word
  • Demonstrable initiatives – ability to raise issues to benefit the business and mitigate non-compliances
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a UK SC security clearance level
  • Punctual and well organised - experience of implementing and managing records and filing systems
  • Solid English written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in Trade Compliance
  • Working practice with US ITAR & EAR and UK Export Controls
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Experience of Audit/Assurance activity
  • Experience within the Defence sector
  • Experience working within a Programme, Security or Commercial Function
  • Experience in developing and/or managing data collection/databases/Metrics/KPIs etc.

Clearance Required:

  • Clearance to Start BPSS
  • Clearance for Role SC
