We are in search of a Senior PMO Analyst. A role has arisen within the Logistics Commodity Services Transformation (LCST) programme. This role is establish and lead a revised PMO with a £8bn programme with the Ministry of Defence.

The Logistics Commodities & Services Transformation (LCST) Programme for the UK Ministry of Defence is a critical effort to enhance and improve the UK’s defence supply chain. The programme provides essential services such as storage and distribution for the MOD's materiel, including a global freight service and the procurement and inventory management of 70,000 commodity NATO Stock Number (NSNs).
Working together as Team Leidos we are helping to transform the UK's defence supply chain by providing an integration of a complex mixture of services, at low risk, using a modern suite of systems that will deliver one version of the truth. For the first time, the MOD will see the whole picture, as it is happening.

What You’ll Be Doing :
This role is part of a community of project, programme and portfolio managers (P3M) who will help to mentor and develop the individual. The role will provide direct support to the Associate Director Programme Management. The individual will -
The most senior programming planning within the PMO on a £8bn programme of work
Manage and Maintain the LCST Integrated Master Schedule
Responsible for the collation and reporting of MI around Projects and Programmes
Liaises with customer PMO team to communicate progress and maintain strong working relationship
Supports Impact Assessment of new projects or programmes against schedule and labour baseline
Responsible for collation and reporting of labour baseline to ensure the correct levels of staffing are in place for project execution
Responsible for ensuring methodologies and tools to support Planning and Scheduling Best Practice
Mentoring and Coaching of P3M staff (Portfolio, Programme, Project)
Management of Risks, Issues and Opportunities and related processes
Promoting the wider public good in all actions, acting in a morally, legally and socially appropriate manner in dealings with all stakeholders and members of project and/or programme and/or portfolio teams and the organisation
Identifying, addressing and resolving differences between individuals and/or interest groups
Empowering and inspiring others to deliver successful projects and/or programmes and/or portfolios
Securing the provision of resources needed for projects and/or programmes from internal and/or external providers
Agreeing, monitoring and managing contracts for the provision of goods and/or services
Preparing and maintaining definitions of the requirements of projects and/or programmes and/or portfolios
Determining the best means of satisfying requirements within the context of project and/or programme and/or portfolio objectives and constraints i.e. developing solutions
Preparing and maintaining schedules for project and/or programme and/or portfolio activities and events, taking account of dependencies and resource requirements
Developing, implementing and updating resource allocations plans (other than finance) needed for projects and/or programmes and/or portfolios, taking account of availabilities and scheduling
Developing and agreeing budgets for projects and/or programmes and/or portfolios and controlling forecast and actual costs against them
Identifying and monitoring project and/or programme and/or portfolio risks (threats and opportunities), planning and implementing responses to them and responding to other issues that affect projects and/or programmes and/or portfolios
Developing, maintaining and applying quality management processes for project and/or programme and/or portfolio activities and outputs
Consolidating and documenting the fundamental components of projects and/or programmes and/or portfolios (scope, schedule, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities and issues, and quality requirements)
Location - There is flexibility around remote working, with potentially 1-2 days a week in the Emerson’s Green, Bristol office
Hours - 40 hour working week
Experience/Qualifications -
Experience within a similar role within a large programme
10 Years’ experience or more in P3M
Strong background in programme management
Strong Programme Controls (Schedule, Cost, Resource, EVM)
Membership of Professional Body desirable such as APM
Use of collaboration tooling (Confluence, Jira, Sharepoint)
