Job Description:

Responsible for planned and reactive maintenance of outbound and inbound baggage systems at LLA, working as part of a multi-skilled team covering 24 hours, 365 days a year



  •  Fault finding skills on automated PLC controlled conveyor systems

Time Management

  • Able to manage on shift time effectively


  • Good communication skills with customer, reporting and maintenance record keeping via Frontline.

Team Working

  • Working as part of a team with 2 maintenance technicians per 12 hour shift

Cross Functional Working

  • Continually build relationships with internal stakeholders to achieve the successful completion of projects

Health & Safety

  • Always follow and promote Group and Company policies and procedures 

  • Ensure all Company equipment and personal PPE properly used


  • Fully Understand and always adhere to the Company’s Equality Policy at all times

Skills & Attributes

  • Multi skilled technician

  • Fault finding

  • Ability to read electrical drawing

  • Checkable 5 year work history

  • DBS

  • Wide ranging technical background

  • Previous experience in all or some of the following areas: 

    • Automation

    • Mechanical/material handling

    • Conveyor systems

    • Control systems

    • Electrical power systems


NVQ Level 3  / City and Guilds Electrical / Mechanical or Equivalent

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 1 – 3 years of prior relevant experience.
