The Recruitment Specialist will have responsibility for the management of the end-to-end recruitment service to the business.  You will seek opportunities to strengthen professional relationships with key stakeholders and identify opportunities to raise the profile of the TA service.  You will also demonstrate a strong focus on multi-channel candidate sourcing, supply chain and process management whilst promoting Leidos business values at all times.

This is a role that requires an appetite for building a pipeline of high calibre talent, proactive customer service and collaboration with the wider HR and business management teams to ensure Leidos is keeping pace with the changing industry trends.

In this role you will demonstrate a flexible approach to work and a willingness to travel to your business division locations.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders as appropriate

  • Partner with the Resourcing Business Partners, Line HR, Programme Leads and Business Development leaders to develop and execute advanced staffing strategies; source and recruit professional level candidates in managing the end-to-end full life cycle

  • Develop into a subject matter expert in attracting and recruiting talent in the market, learning how to apply advanced sourcing best practices, translating recruiting concept to practical application to support the business

  • Demonstrate the ability to establish trust and confidence by maintaining a high level of credibility, integrity, and skilled communications with managers and staff

  • Be an authority on recruitment issues/legislation i.e. Equality Act, AWR, EAA, IR35, Pensions Legislation, On/Off-shore intermediaries etc. and their potential impact on the business and any contractors or new hires

  • Be a Company ambassador to prospective candidates.

Key Measures of Success:

  • Continue to enhance Leidos reputation in the marketplace through direct souring capability and building strong networks of future quality talent pipeline

  • Meet or exceed business needs including time and cost of hire

  • Achieve against the target of <85% direct sourcing for all new hire roles

  • Meet and exceed performance expectations of the hiring community and the rest of the TA team and ensure we build on success and focus on driving down errors.

  • Manage a large portfolio of vacancies (minimum of 35- 45) at varying job levels at different stages in the recruitment lifecycle

  • Engage proactively with passive candidates and develop talent pools/networks ahead of requirements

  • Meet the SLA criteria set between the hiring community and TA ensuring a ‘right first time’ mentality to eliminate the risk of SLA ‘fails’

  • Ensure all candidates are screened through telephone or face to face interviews to create a quality short list of candidates for hiring managers

  • Working closely with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to provide input to and achieve against target resourcing plans across the business areas

  • Support large scale recruitment events such as job fairs, direct hire events and other community events at new site locations

  • Ensure the effective use of technology tools provided

  • Be an active participant in the TA team and look for and suggest ways to add value to the current processes.

  • Assist the Resourcing Business Partners and Head of TA with specific tasks as required

Required Skills:

  • Background in I.T/Technical recruitment a must

  • Proven record of strong partnering and relationship building at all levels of the business

  • Demonstrated ability to create the highest standards with recruitment campaigns and strategies

  • Experienced resourcing techniques that lead to efficiency and a reduction of time-to-fill, yet delivering quality in innovative ways

  • Comfortable with high volume workload and different priorities from hiring community

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate and present complex ideas to non-recruitment specialists

  • Experience of using a wide range of sourcing and networking tools including social media

  • Ability to challenge, influence, negotiate and present ideas intelligently to senior business leaders and HR

  • Ability to prioritise time and manage workload effectively demonstrating high degree of attention to detail

  • A ‘right first time’ mentality

  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation), including the ability to listen effectively

  • Strong self-awareness and a capacity to reflect on own practice and implement changes from lessons learnt

  • The ability to identify process improvements and make sound recommendations

  • An enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

  • Solid sense of accountability and personal judgment

  • Good understanding of the changing market and industry requirements, keeping abreast of competitors and potential opportunities or threats to the hiring process at Leidos

  • Some travel may be required (<20%) for events and campaigns

  • Strong customer-service skills including issue resolution, negotiating and the ability to work with dynamic teams.
